Indian classical music has touched the hearts of people from around the world. Brooklyn Raga Massive brings the ensemble, Tradition to Innovation, to Long Island, where musicians Neel Murgai, Arun Ramamurthy, Damon Banks, Aaron Shragge, Mir Naqibul, and Kane Mathis will take you on a journey, beginning with pure classical ragas from India and traveling towards contemporary adaptations in America. While standing on the shoulders of giants like Ravi Shankar and John Coltrane, the ensemble will present their original visions of raga music, reflective of their experiences with communities and cultures from across the world.
